Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, has inaugurated the opening ceremony of the 38th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC), which started today, in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Office and Chairman of the Executive Committee of ADNOC’s Board of Directors.

The ceremony was also attended by His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, HRH Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Salman, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Energy, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Oil and Gas Holding Company in Bahrain, His Excellency Dr. Badr Hamid Al Mulla, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil of the State of Kuwait, His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Managing Director and Group CEO of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), and a number of senior officials from leading international energy and oil companies.

Commenting on the event, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan said: “Since its inception 38 years ago, the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) has served as a global platform that brings together the most prominent institutions, companies and leaders in the energy sector to address the pressing issues and engage on the most promising opportunities in the energy landscape. This unique platform has enhanced the UAE’s role as a key contributor in shaping the future of the energy sector.”

His Highness added: "The UAE, thanks to the vision of the wise leadership, is a pioneer in building a diversified energy system, developing innovative projects in the field of renewable energy, and applying the latest technologies to responsibly increase production of its hydrocarbon resources while reducing its emissions and reinforcing its position as a responsible and reliable global energy supplier.”

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan has attended a part of panel discussion as a part of the the opening cermony of ADIPEC-2022, attended by His Excellency Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, His Excellency Suhail bin Muhammad Faraj Faris Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, HRH Prince Abdul Aziz Bin Salman, Saudi Arabia's Minister of Energy, Amos J Hochstein, the Senior Advisor for Global Energy Security at the U.S. State Department, HE Eng. Tarek El Molla, Egypt's Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, His Excellency Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gasof of India, along with a number of world leaders in the international oil sector.

ADIPEC is the global energy industry’s most influential meeting place where ministers, energy leaders, and professionals convene to engage and identify opportunities that will unlock new value in the energy landscape. This year’s edition includes more than 2,000 exhibiting companies, as well as 28 international country pavilions. ADIPEC is taking place from 31 October to 3 November 2022.
