Rabdan Academy has reinforced its status as a world-class university by being awarded top "5 star" ratings in the 2 categories of Teaching and Employability under the QS Stars University Rating System.
H.E. James Morse, President of Rabdan Academy, congratulated the Rabdan faculty, staff and students, and said that these results reflect their concerted efforts to enhance the position of Rabdan Academy at the global level through teaching excellence and by meeting the requirements of the labour market, noting that this achievement represents an additional motivation for Rabdan Academy to continue providing an exceptional educational experience for its students in line with international best practices and through utilising new and advanced learning tools, which ultimately contributes to achieving the desired strategic goals of the Academy.
Dr. Ashwin Fernandes, QS Regional Director of the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia, praised Rabdan Academy’s achievement as the first Higher Education Institution in the world specialised in safety, security, defence, emergency preparedness and crisis management domain to achieve this classification under Global QS Stars University Rating System, highlighting the position that Rabdan Academy reached globally, which has become comparable to other prestigious global institutions in terms of the high-level programs the Academy offers in vital and strategic areas.
Rabdan Academy achieves 100% graduate employment according to the QS Stars report, scoring a 5-star rating, which highlights that the Academy’s graduates are much in demand with employers. The Employability category looks at the Employability of the institution’s graduates, showing the graduates' readiness to join the labour market, effectively integrate into multicultural and multidisciplinary teams, along with having the skills related to the current and future requirements of the safety, security, defence, business continuity and integrated emergency management fields.
Among the important criteria that fall under the Employability category is employer presence on campus, which shows the high level of coordination between the Academy and relevant stakeholders and employers.
Rabdan Academy also received a 5-star rating in the Teaching category, which assesses how well the Academy’s teaches and supports students, enabling them to get the maximum benefit from the educational process. This is a reflection of the excellence and dedication of the world-class faculty, the vast majority of whom are PhD holders from global top 200 universities.
In this context, Dr. Shamma Hamdoon Al Naqbi, Associate Dean at Rabdan Academy, said: “This achievement is a culmination of the efforts of Rabdan Academy’s faculty and staff and their tireless and sincere work with the aim of achieving and consolidating academic leadership by improving the educational process and ensuring its quality, along with benefiting from relevant global experiences and practices".

The “QS Stars” is an opt-in rating system for higher education institutions, evaluating them against a range of performance indicators across several categories. It allows institutions to highlight their strengths and identify various opportunities and areas for improvement.
