The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) has signed a host of new partnerships with some of the UK’s leading tourism companies and online travel platforms.
A total of eight sales incentive agreements were sealed at this year’s edition of the World Travel Market in London, supporting DCT Abu Dhabi’s long-term vision to expand tourism growth across the UAE capital while also greatly enhancing the visitor experience for tourists from the UK, a key international market.
The partnerships, announced at one of the world’s largest dedicated travel industry trade shows, will establish a framework of collaboration with travel operators and destination management firms to offer new, returning, and potential visitors to Abu Dhabi easy access to the emirate’s diverse ecosystem of hotels, attractions, and much more. The agreements will focus on serving visitors from across the UK by actively highlighting Abu Dhabi’s expansive year-round appeal.
Under the new sales incentive partnerships, DCT Abu Dhabi will work closely with Southall Travel, Luxury Holidays, Best At Travel, Destination2, Kenwood Travel, Elevate, DialAFlight, and loveholidays, reflecting a commitment to strengthening connections with the UK market, and its importance as a key source of international visitors to the emirate.
Abdulla Yousuf, Director of International Operations at the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, said: “The new strategic partnerships signed by DCT Abu Dhabi with eight travel and tourism sector companies based in the UK is another step forwards in our long-term strategic goal to reach an even wider audience – first time visitors, returning guests, and potential travellers – from one of our most important international markets.
“The companies with which we have signed sales incentive agreements were carefully chosen for the range and diversity of their specialist markets, from family package holidays to luxury travel experiences and everything in between. By expanding our network of partners, DCT Abu Dhabi is ensuring our one-of-a-kind tourism offering is clearly visible to the widest possible audience while also driving ahead with our goal to support sustainable growth, promote long-term development, and embed resilience across this important economic sector.”
Each of the eight travel companies were chosen for their ability to deliver growth targets aligned with Abu Dhabi’s Tourism Strategy 2030. As specialists working across a range of market segments, from family holidays to couples and luxury travellers, each company will help to place Abu Dhabi is at the forefront of available travel strategies, package deals, and high-end offerings for UK visitors – ensuring Abu Dhabi is recognised as a destination with something to offer everyone.
