His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Office of Development and Martyrs Families Affairs at the Presidential Court, has witnessed the signing of strategic partnerships during COP28 UAE.

His Highness praised the endeavours of government entities and private sector companies to prioritise sustainable economic growth and diversification, ensuring long-term prosperity.

The signings included the Emirates Council for Rural Development’s partnership with the Emirates Nature-WWF, which aims to support the sustainable development and eco-tourism of rural areas that form part of the Emirates Village project. The Emirates Foundation’s multi-year partnership with First Abu Dhabi Bank aims to promote climate-conscious behaviours among the UAE community, with the agreement’s first initiative, the Carbon Literacy Programme, rolling out across 100 schools in 2024.

The National Food Loss and Waste Initiative (ne’ma) also collaborated with Aldar Properties, Tadweer - Abu Dhabi Waste Management Company and Polygreen; while Etihad Rail signed an agreement with Al Dahra Holding, which will provide sustainable rail transport services for agricultural products.
