Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, President & CEO of the UAE Independent Climate Change Accelerators (UICCA), conducted a high-level meeting with His Serene Highness Prince Albert II, Sovereign Prince of Monaco to explore strategic collaboration opportunities in environmental conservation and climate action.

During the bilateral discussions, Sheikha Shamma presented UICCA's comprehensive approach to accelerating climate solutions, including the organisation's role in convening strategic partnerships, incubating innovative climate technologies, and driving policy transformation across the region. Sheikha Shamma outlined key regional sustainability initiatives and demonstrated how UICCA's integrated platform is mobilising stakeholders to deliver scalable climate action.

Prince Albert II, whose Fondation Prince Albert II de Monaco serves as a global catalyst for environmental protection and sustainable development, highlighted the significant alignment between the two organisations' missions and strategic objectives. Prince Albert II emphasised substantial opportunities for joint initiatives, particularly in marine conservation programmes where both organisations maintain strong expertise and commitment.

The meeting laid the foundation for future collaboration that could include joint research initiatives, coordinated policy advocacy, and integrated conservation projects. Both leaders expressed their commitment to developing concrete partnership frameworks that leverage their organisations' complementary strengths in addressing global environmental challenges.
