Reinforcing its commitment to measuring the real-world impact of its academic programmes, the Emirates College for Advanced Education (ECAE) has conducted a series of field visits to multiple schools across Al Ain Region, where more than 85 of its graduates serve in in educational leadership and teaching roles. The visits were carried out as part of the college’s "Boureka Gharssekum" initiative, which aims to assess the tangible impact of ECAE's programmes within schools and evaluate their direct contribution to educational performance, quality of learning, advancement of teaching practices, and innovation in education.
The visits comprised meetings with ECAE graduates working in schools and provided an opportunity to observe first-hand the educational initiatives and projects they are leading within their school communities. The visits underscore the college's commitment to strengthening its field engagement and supporting educational leaders in line with the UAE's vision of building a sustainable and future-proof education system.
Commenting on the initiative, Dr. May Laith Al Taee, Vice Chancellor of ECAE, said: "What we witnessed during our visits to schools in Al Ain as part of the "Boureka Gharssekum" initiative reflects the outstanding practices and initiatives led by our graduates that are ensuring a tangible impact in shaping learning environments. During the visits, several graduates shared professional experiences that demonstrate the impact of the college's academic and professional development programmes.
Samira Awad Al Breiki, Academic Vice Principal at Al Talea School, showcased a number of educational initiatives that successfully integrated laboratory-based learning into interdisciplinary curricula. She outlined the Emirati Al Sana’ initiative for the ECAE team, which has strengthened students' connection to the UAE's cultural heritage and national identity. Explaining that her participation in the Horizons Educational Leadership Program enabled her to adopt artificial intelligence tools for data analysis and decision-making, she noted that doing so helped contribute to greater operational efficiency.
Fawzia Abbas Hafez, Arabic Language Teacher and Coordinator at Al Talea School, shared her experience with the Innovative Learning Communities Program, pointing out that it enabled her to move beyond addressing classroom challenges to focusing on individual effort and applying action research based on a structured scientific methodology, which led to significant improvements in her teaching practices.
Similarly, Adalia Qassim Al Shannaq, Cycle One Science Teacher at Al Talea School, explained that the academic programmes she completed at ECAE equipped her with innovative teaching approaches, particularly play-based learning and inquiry-based learning, making the learning experience more engaging and enjoyable for her students.
These visits reflect ECAE's ongoing commitment to evaluating the real-world impact of its programmes while continuing to closely connect with its graduates. Through these efforts, the college supports the advancement of educational practices and enhances the readiness of educators and schools to addressing future challenges.
