Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council has partnered with Union Assessment and Certification to facilitate the issuance of Certificates of Conformity for 72 professions across various fields, fostering the ongoing development of a skilled and highly trained workforce in Abu Dhabi.

His Excellency Dr. Helal Hamed Al Kaabi, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council signed the agreement with Abdulla Rashed Mohammed Rashed Al Rashdi, Chairman of Union Assessment & Certification. The signing ceremony, which was held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Abu Dhabi, was attended by a number of officials from both parties and key stakeholders from private industry.

His Excellency Dr. Helal Hamed Al Kaabi assured the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council’s keenness to enhance the council’s strategic partnerships with government, semi-government, and private entities to provide highly trained labours according to global standards.

His Excellency Al Kaabi said: “The agreement with Union Assessment & Certification will expand the range of providing services to 72 occupations across 13 sectors and will be delivered in multi-languages, such as Arabic, English, Urdu and Hindi, to cover all targeted labour segments.

“This partnership will engage all concerned Abu Dhabi regulators and private industry to implement and design world-class assessments uplifting the standards on the workforce in the Emirate and the United Arab Emirates.”

Al Rashdi said: “The aim of the agreement signed with the ADQCC is to embark on a transformative journey in cultivating a highly skilled workforce that thrives in the face of evolving market demands. We are fully prepared to introduce our experience and capabilities in designing, developing, and performing the personnel conformity assessment services.”

According to the agreement, the process of assessing personnel services, which includes receiving assessment requests, performing the assessment process, issuing results and submitting requests for issuing conformity certificates for eligible personnel will be delegated to the Union Assessment & Certification. The agreement covers 72 professions including car workshops, construction, food, public health, oil and gas and many other sectors. This collaboration is set to bolster the workforce in Abu Dhabi, ensuring a well-qualified and proficient labour force that adheres to international standards, thereby contributing to the overall economic growth and development of the region.
