His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan has honoured the winners of the first stage of the UAE Tour, organised by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council. The tour is part of the Union Cycliste Internationale calendar and features an elite group of riders representing 20 international teams.

Tim Merlier won the opening stage, ahead of Arvid De Kleijn and Jakub Mareczko. His Highness highlighted the importance of attracting elite global athletes, reflecting the quality of organising capabilities that have strengthened the UAE’s leadership in hosting key sporting events.
