Al Ain Ladies Club has launched the first-ever Women’s Football Championship in Al Ain Region, organised with the support of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) and the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy (FBMA).

The event will be held from 17-21 November 2025 at the Al Ain Ladies Club Stadium, marking a significant milestone for the city, aiming to empower female athletes and enhance their active participation across various sports fields.

The championship will draw the participation of several women’s teams from across the UAE and comes as part of ongoing efforts by national sports entities to support and empower Emirati women, providing athletic platforms that allow female talents to showcase their skills, foster competitiveness, and promote teamwork—aligning with the UAE’s leadership vision of building a healthy and balanced society.

Noura Al Amri, Championship Director and Director of Al Ain Ladies Club, said: “We are proud to launch the first Women’s Football Championship in Al Ain Region, a milestone in the development of women’s sports in the UAE. This championship marks the beginning of a promising journey in supporting female talents and providing a competitive environment that helps discover and highlight the athletic potential of Emirati women.”

She added that organising this championship aligns with Al Ain Ladies Club’s strategy to promote sports awareness among women and encourage adopting sports as a lifestyle, contributing to both health and community excellence.

This event also reaffirms the leading role of the ADSC and the FBMA in supporting women’s sports and empowering women in various athletic fields, as part of a comprehensive vision to build a distinguished generation of female athletes across the UAE and the region.
