Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority (ADCDA) has celebrated the graduation of 65 participants from the first International Rota Commander Course, held at the Civil Defence Academy in Singapore.

His Excellency Major General Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, expressed his pride in the achievements made in this course, emphasising the importance of continuing to develop the capabilities and skills of civil defence personnel. His Excellency Al Mazrouei also discussed providing the best training and qualification programmes for our national cadres to ensure the highest levels of performance and effectiveness in maintaining the security and safety of our community.

His Excellency Brigadier, Salem Abdullah bin Barak Al Dhaheri, Acting Director General of the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, praised the pioneering role of the Singaporean Civil Defence as a strategic partner during the ceremony and the results achieved from the joint cooperation between ADCDA and SCDF, looking forward to more future cooperation to enhance common goals.

His Excellency Al Dhaheri congratulated the graduates on the advanced levels and high efficiency demonstrated during the course, stating that this achievement is an important step in enhancing the authority's capabilities in civil defence fields and effectively contributes to increasing the readiness of teams to face challenges.

His Excellency Al Dhaheri  pointed out that the first training course is a significant achievement that reflects the strategic vision of the authority in developing its human capabilities, ensuring the sustainability of the safety system in Abu Dhabi.

The course included specialised theoretical and practical lectures such as firefighting and rescue, handling hazardous materials, search and rescue, fire investigation, incident management, civil protection, and other important topics, covered over 25 weeks.

The training course contributed to qualifying and empowering competent trainees to lead firefighting and rescue operations at the squad level and manage rescue operations and firefighting procedures in essential tasks.

The graduation ceremony was attended by His Excellency Jamal Abdullah Al Suwaidi, the country's ambassador to Singapore, General Commissioner Eric Yap, Commander of the Singapore Civil Defence Force, Brigadier Allan Shaw, Director of the Singapore Civil Defence Academy, and a delegation from ADCDA.
