Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority has received international recognition for its efforts in developing a sustainable fire safety and prevention system across Abu Dhabi during its participation in the NFPA Conference & Expo 2026, held in the US.

During the opening session of the conference, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) highlighted the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority's strategic initiative to develop an integrated fire prevention system for Abu Dhabi, in alignment with internationally recognised standards and best practices adopted by the association.

In the presence of a distinguished audience of international experts, decision-makers, and specialists, the NFPA reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the comprehensive project in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority. The initiative aims to establish an integrated and sustainable fire prevention system that incorporates the latest technological innovations and global standards.

In recognition of the authority's achievements, the NFPA honoured the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority’s delegation participating in the conference and accompanying international exhibition, acknowledging the authority's efforts in advancing fire safety and prevention systems in Abu Dhabi in accordance with international best practices and standards.

The participation resulted in several strategic outcomes that reflect Abu Dhabi's advanced international standing and reinforce its position as a strategic partner in the development of safety and prevention systems, further enhancing its global competitiveness in the field of civil protection.

On the sidelines of the conference, members of the authority's delegation participated in three specialised panel discussions addressing key challenges and future trends in fire safety, community risk reduction, and life safety. These sessions provided valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange and strengthened collaboration with leading international experts and practitioners.

The delegation also attended 34 specialised workshops and technical sessions, where members explored the latest developments in international codes and standards, technological innovations, and best practices in fire prevention and safety. This contributes to the authority's ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional excellence and enhance future readiness.

The participation also included visits to the international exhibition accompanying the conference, where the delegation reviewed the latest equipment, smart systems, and advanced technologies used in prevention, detection, alarm systems, firefighting, and emergency response, while exploring opportunities to leverage these innovations in supporting the authority's future initiatives.
