Rafed, the new healthcare procurement company created by ADQ, has appointed Rashed Saif Al Qubaisi as its Chief Executive Officer.

Al Qubaisi will lead the development of Rafed’s operations as it seeks to reduce operating costs for healthcare providers and ensure effective procurement and delivery mechanisms by establishing competitive contracts with leading suppliers. 

Jaap Kalkman, Chief Investment Officer at ADQ, said: “We are pleased to appoint Rashed Saif Al Qubaisi to this important new role leading Rafed and the development of its long-term, sustainable growth strategy. We will work closely with Rashed and his leadership team to help successfully drive forward a new era in healthcare procurement in the UAE.”

Most recently Al Qubaisi was Deputy Group CEO of SEHA, where he was instrumental in a number of strategic projects. As a member of the leadership team at SEHA he was actively involved in shaping the wider transformation plans across the Group to drive productivity and efficiency with a focus on patient centric care. While at SEHA, he was also Chief Financial Officer and then Chief Executive Officer of Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS).
