His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Sultan and Prime Minister of Oman, has received His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser, along with his accompanying delegation, at Al Baraka Palace, as part of an official visit by His Highness to the Sultanate of Oman.
At the outset of the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to His Majesty, along with his wishes for the abundant health and happiness of His Majesty, and for continued progress and prosperity for the Sultanate of Oman and its people.
For his part, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said asked His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan to convey his greetings to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, along with his wishes for further progress, advancement, and prosperity for the UAE and its people.
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said underscored the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples.
The meeting, attended by His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Oman’s Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, reviewed the strong fraternal ties between the UAE and Oman, and opportunities to further strengthen them and expand cooperation across various fields to serve the mutual interests of both countries.
The two sides also exchanged views on a number of issues of mutual interest.
Following the meeting, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said hosted a luncheon in honour of His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the accompanying delegation.
Earlier today, His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Muscat and was welcomed at the Royal Airport by His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said and a number of senior Omani officials.
The delegation accompanying His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan included His Excellency Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for National Security; His Excellency Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, Minister of Investment; His Excellency Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development; and His Excellency Sultan Obaid Al Yabhouni, Director General of the Office of the Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi.
Attending the meeting from the Omani side was His Excellency General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Minister of the Royal Office; His Excellency Dr Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; and His Excellency Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority.
