On behalf of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, has led the UAE delegation to the 46th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Summit, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain. The summit was inaugurated by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain.

His Highness also took part in the joint session attended by the summit’s Guest of Honour, Her Excellency Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of Italy, alongside the leaders of GCC member states. His Highness expressed his pleasure at the progress of the partnership and friendship between the GCC and Italy, emphasising that this growing cooperation reflects a shared commitment to fostering constructive engagement and unlocking new opportunities across various fields in support of peace, stability, development and prosperity for all.

The UAE delegation included His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; His Excellency Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; His Excellency Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; His Excellency Khalifa Shaheen Almarar, Minister of State; His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Deputy Minister of State; and His Excellency Fahad Mohammed bin Kardous Al Ameri, UAE Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The UAE affirmed, in its address at the 46th Gulf Summit, that further strengthening joint GCC action remains a fundamental pillar in safeguarding the interests of member states, addressing the aspirations of their peoples, and supporting security, stability, development and prosperity across the region, stressing the importance of building on past achievements and moving towards broader horizons of integration and coordination.

The UAE has also reiterated its continued support of GCC cooperation and integration, driven by its deep belief in the shared history, common destiny and extensive potential that unite the peoples of the GCC, and of the council’s vital role in shaping collective strategic interests.

The UAE delegation expressed its sincere appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for the warm welcome, generous hospitality and exemplary organisation, reflecting Bahrain’s leading role in supporting the GCC’s shared vision and joint action. wishing it success in its presidency of the current session. Appreciation was also expressed for the efforts undertaken by Their Highnesses, Excellencies the ministers, the Secretary-General of the GCC, and the General Secretariat in preparing and organising the summit.

The delegation further commended the State of Kuwait for its efforts during its presidency of the previous GCC session, noting that the achievements realised represent an important addition to the council’s progress and form a strong foundation for advancing cooperation in the next phase.
