Frontier25, an Abu Dhabi-based climate action advisory, has signed an agreement with the UAE’s Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE). The agreement facilitates partnership, cooperation, and coordination between the two entities, enabling them to leverage their expertise and resources to combat climate change, promote innovation, and drive sustainable economic growth.

The agreement was signed in Abu Dhabi by Hind Alghseen, Executive Advisor to the President and CEO of Frontier25, and Her Excellency Dr Alanoud Abdulla Juma Alhaj Al Ali, Assistant Undersecretary at MOCCAE. The signing took place in the presence of Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, President and CEO of Frontier25 and The Climate Tribe, and Her Excellency Dr Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak Al Shamsi, the UAE’s Minister of Climate Change and Environment.

Under the agreement, Frontier25, is committed to share and exchange relevant information regarding the UAE’s Climate Action ecosystem with MOCCAE. The parties will maintain regular communication on climate-related developments and activities, and jointly explore opportunities to advance knowledge, policy, and practice in support of national climate objectives. MOCCAE will lead as a principal knowledge and implementation partner to these joint efforts. Both parties will coordinate in promoting UAE-led initiatives and progress at future COP events.

Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan said: “Supporting the development of a robust and efficient climate action ecosystem is a crucial step in enabling businesses to take accountability and control in decarbonising their operations and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This agreement strengthens the relationship between Frontier25 and MOCCAE, enabling us to enhance and unify our efforts to drive measurable climate action across vital sectors to meet the UAE’s net zero commitment by 2050.”

Her Excellency Dr Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahak said: “This collaboration highlights the critical need for a unified national effort to achieve the UAE's ambitious climate objectives. Effective public-private partnership is not just an option but an imperative to accelerate our journey towards climate neutrality by 2050. The ministry establishes the policy and regulatory frameworks to achieve the nation’s Net Zero goal, guided by an innovative vision that integrates economic, social, and global considerations. Our partnership with Frontier25 is a strategic step to accelerate policy implementation and develop practical emissions reduction solutions, working directly with the private sector.
