As part of its efforts to promote effective strategic partnerships that support services for people of determination, Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination signed a tripartite memorandum of understanding with Abu Dhabi National Hotels Company and Compass Middle East, to provide culinary arts training for people of determination, their parents, and families registered with the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Business Foundation Humanity, which includes the establishment of a multidisciplinary team of experts to develop a shared workload and shared goals between the three parties, as well as media cooperation in accordance with the media policies of each party.
The memorandum was signed by His Excellency Abdullah Abdul-Ali Al-Humaidan, Secretary-General of Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, and by Mr. Andrew Robert Marshall, Chief Financial Officer of Abu Dhabi National Hotels Company.
Under the terms of the memorandum of understanding, Zayed Higher Organization will identify people of determination, their parents and targeted productive families, and will provide the other parties with all relevant data. The organization will also ensure that all necessary learning supports are in place for trainees and will follow up on training processes. Abu Dhabi National Hotels will train people of determination participants in culinary arts in designated and affiliated training facilities. Fifty individuals will be targeted for training initially, with a target of 150 participants targeted for the entire program. The course content is provided through practical training courses and methodologies and all trainees will receive company certificates upon completion of the course, as well as a commitment to provide support and guidance to them and assist them in finding suitable opportunities in the labor market, and provide accredited international training programs in specialized culinary arts.
His Excellency Abdullah Abdul-Ali Al-Humaidan, Secretary-General of Zayed Higher Organization, welcomed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with Abu Dhabi National Hotels, pioneers of the hospitality industry in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, which plays a pivotal role in the development of Abu Dhabi as a global tourist destination, and has extensive experience in supporting and strengthening the operational capabilities of the hospitality workforce through training, development and consultancy.
He said that Zayed Higher Organization strives to qualify its students for the labor market, by enrolling them and their families who wish to train and in suitable programs in a scientific and systematic manner in a wide range of fields, including the culinary arts, leading to the integration of people of determination in the tourism sector, which is experiencing rapid growth, with the aim of providing them with the skills and experience necessary to work in this sector, as part of the organization’s efforts towards empowering people of determination and promoting their social inclusion, through the establishment of cooperative partnerships and the signing of memorandums of understanding to reflect these goals.
His Excellency Abdullah Al Humaidan praised the vital and important role played by national institutions in the field of rehabilitation and employment of people of determination, and their invaluable role in contributing to their empowerment and social inclusion. He highlighted pointed out that integrating people of determination into the labor market would increase their self-confidence, and facilitate their work efficiency and productivity.
