Leveraging modern technologies to display historical documents and records, the National Library and Archives continues to enhance access to the Sheikh Suroor bin Mohamed Al Nahyan Hall through its virtual experience, enabling visitors from around the world to explore its rich content.

The hall serves as a comprehensive documentary platform that showcases the life of His Highness Sheikh Suroor bin Mohamed Al Nahyan. It features a rich collection of written records and archived materials that document his national journey, his close companionship with the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Highlighting growing public engagement, more than 9,000 visitors visited the hall in 2025, reflecting profound public interest in exploring the shining milestones of the nation’s history and its iconic figures.

The hall offers visitors an enriching intellectual journey, inviting them to delve into the life of His Highness and the prominent roles and duties he undertook between 1966 to 2003. The experience is further enhanced by a curated selection of documentaries presented on large-format displays, in which His Highness reflects on the nation’s founding, the strength and cohesion of the Union, and the remarkable milestones achieved under the guidance of the wise leadership.

The hall also features some of His Highness’ personal belongings, including more than 10 pieces of historically significant medals, commemorative shields, and honorary gifts, alongside original photographs from his private archives, documenting key milestones in his life. It also features exclusive film footage, most notably a private interview in which His Highness sheds light on the strength and cohesion of the Union and the pivotal role of the late Sheikh Zayed in the foundation and development of the nation.

Sheikh Suroor bin Mohamed Al Nahyan Hall aligns with the National Library and Archives’ mission to document the memory of the nation and make it accessible to future generations, thereby promoting national identity and instilling the values of belonging.
