The Creative Media Authority (CMA) has concluded the first Al Ain Region edition of the Winter Media Camp, delivered in Arabic and designed to introduce young creative talent in Al Ain Region to various fields within the creative media sector.
Held from 8 to 12 December at Qattara Arts Centre, the camp provided participants with an immersive learning environment that encouraged creativity, imagination, and hands-on exploration through age-appropriate activities.
The Al Ain Region edition welcomed 31 children aged 8 to 12, offering early exposure to storytelling, the arts, and interactive creative disciplines.
The camp was delivered in collaboration with partners working alongside Creative Lab, the talent development arm of CMA. Workshops and introductory training sessions included a story writing workshop by Sandstorm Studio, a short story writing course delivered by Abu Dhabi Media Network - Majid, and a series of sessions hosted by Qattara Arts Centre, focusing on Arabic calligraphy, drawing, and bubble painting.
The Winter Media Camp aims to nurture Abu Dhabi-based creative talent from an early age. Its fifth edition this year marked the programme’s expansion into Al Ain for the first time, reflecting CMA’s commitment to broadening access to creative learning opportunities across the emirate, inspiring the next generation to explore creative industries as a pathway for learning and future opportunities.
