The Organising Committee of Liwa International Festival have extended some of the festival's events until 6 January 2023.

The committee indicated that this extension came in response to the massive turnout of visitors and participants from across the UAE and beyond, and to meet the demands of the visitors wishing to stay and enjoy camping after the end of the main activities of the festival.

The Organising Committee pointed out that the festival, since opening on 16 December 2022, has witnessed an expansion of activities to include Liwa Village, which features a variety of live performances, international culinary experiences, retail stores and family entertainment, in addition to exciting motorsports competitions, championships and sports challenges on Moreeb Dune.
