The 20th edition of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship, one of the premier events on the Rolex Series and a key stop in the DP World Tour playoffs, will take place at Yas Links Abu Dhabi from 6-9 November 2025. The tournament is organised by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council in collaboration with the DP World Tour, welcoming an elite field of the world’s best golfers.
The 2025 championship will feature the top 70 available players of the season, competing in the fourth Rolex Series event of 2025 as the European Tour season draws to a close. With crucial Race to Dubai points on the line, the tournament promises world-class action on Yas Island.
Leading the star-studded field is Rory McIlroy, the current Race to Dubai leader and a major winner this season, alongside Matt Fitzpatrick, the 2022 US Open champion. The lineup also includes Tyrrell Hatton, winner of the 2021 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and Ryder Cup star; Robert MacIntyre, Scotland’s rising talent; Tommy Fleetwood, two-time Abu Dhabi champion (2017 and 2018); and Shane Lowry, the 2019 winner and 2019 Open Championship champion.
Adding to the depth of the field are young European standouts Ludvig Åberg and Rasmus Højgaard, two of the brightest stars in the new generation of the DP World Tour. This world-class roster ensures one of the strongest and most competitive editions in the tournament’s history.
His Excellency Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, said: “We take great pride in welcoming the world’s best golfers to Abu Dhabi. The 20th edition is more than a milestone, it is a reflection of our vision to advance sports development, promote sports tourism, and strengthen Abu Dhabi’s position as a global sporting destination. We look forward to delivering a world-class event that combines elite competition with family entertainment, in line with the ambitions of our leadership.”
Beyond the competition, the championship will offer fans a comprehensive entertainment experience, including family-friendly activities, premium hospitality, and world-class viewing facilities around the iconic 18th hole. Global media coverage and special fan zones will make the 20th anniversary a celebration to remember.
