The Abu Dhabi Powerboat Team, representing the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, is preparing for a busy international season throughout the summer of 2025. The team will represent the UAE in some of the world’s most prestigious marine sports championships, in line with the vision and support of Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, who is committed to strengthening the UAE’s presence in international sporting arenas and elevating the global standing of the nation’s marine sports.

The team is set to compete in four major world championships including; the UIM F1H2O World Championship, UIM F2 World Championship, UIM F4 World Championship and the World Jet Ski Championship.

Participation in these championships will take the team to 16 cities around the world in a packed schedule that reflects the UAE’s ongoing ambition to maintain its leading position and achieve new milestones.

The team will launch its season with the opening round of the F2 World Championship in Brindisi, Italy, from 27-29 June. Champion Rashed Al Qemzi will seek to defend his title, supported by teammate Mansoor Al Mansoori.

In the freestyle category of the Jet Ski World Championship, Rashed Al Mulla, last season’s world champion, will lead the team through three major rounds with high hopes of retaining the crown.

The F1H2O team will compete in five decisive rounds, led by veteran driver Thani Al Qemzi, alongside Swedish driver Erik Stark, who recently joined the team—an addition expected to enhance the team's chances for global victory.

As part of its strategy to develop national talent, the team will also field Salem Al Yafei in two rounds of the F4 World Championship, underscoring its commitment to nurturing the next generation of Emirati marine sports champions.

The Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club emphasised that the team enters the season with full readiness and a spirit of determination, aiming to continue its streak of achievements and fulfill the leadership’s vision of raising the UAE flag high on international podiums.
