Abu Dhabi Police and Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority have won the Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation Award for Distinguished Academic Performance, in the Education Supporting Institutions category, for their six-language, emirate-wide school first aid training project.
The project includes teaching emergency services awareness to young children, and first aid to school students, parents and school staff at public and private nurseries and schools in AbuDhabi.
More than 100,000 students from 280 schools have so far benefitted from the project, as well as 14,260 parents and 19,900 school staff.
