The World Organisation for Smart and Sustainable Cities will open a regional office in Abu Dhabi following a successful bid by Department of Municipalites and Transport (DMT) during the 6th General Assembly of World Organisation for Smart and Sustainable Cities in Seoul, South Korea.

DMT’s delegation, led by His Excellency Omar Al Nuaimi, Director General of Corporate Affairs at the Department of Municipalities and Transport, and His Excellency Dr Omar Mubarak Al Shaiba, Executive Director of the Technology Affairs Sector, joined other distinguished officials and employees from DMT at the 6th WeGO General Assembly.

This gathering provided a unique platform for the delegation to exchange valuable insights and expertise in the realm of smart and sustainable cities with a high-profile audience that included international governmental entities and mayors of major global cities. Key topics discussed included climate change mitigation, comprehensive city development and strategies to bridge the digital gaps.
