The Department of Municipalities and Transport – Abu Dhabi (DMT Abu Dhabi) has signed an agreement with the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to advance mutual, sustainable transport solutions and urban development through knowledge sharing and collaboration.
His Excellency Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport – Abu Dhabi (DMT), hosted Park Sang-Woo, Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) from the Republic of Korea for a landmark meeting aimed at fostering collaboration in the fields of mobility and smart city innovation.
Backed by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by His Excellency Al Shorafa and Sang-Woo, the event, which took place at DMT Abu Dhabi, underscored the strategic partnership between the Republic of Korea and the UAE.
The signing ceremony took place in the presence of senior representatives from DMT, Yoo Jehseung, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, senior MOLIT delegates, representatives from South Korean organisations and senior embassy officials.
The discussion also provided a platform to introduce innovative companies driving technological advancements in Korea. These include Angelswing, which offers a drone reality capture-based digital twin platform; Sankun Inc. that provides real-time visualisation of construction-related data; Meissa Inc, which utilises drones and computer vision technology to digitise job sites; and Rovigos that offers tailored solutions for the logistics and distribution industry.
