Mawaheb Talent Hub, part of the Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi, has organised an Open Day for Employment in the Al Dhafra Region, bringing together more than 19 employers from government, semi-government and private sectors to meet and interview Emirati jobseekers: both experienced professionals and fresh graduates.

The open day witnessed strong participation from Emirati jobseekers, who had the opportunity to engage directly with representatives from participating entities, including the Ministry of Education, the Department of Municipalities and Transport – Al Dhafra Region Municipality, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA), the Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute, Al Dhafra Hospitals – SEHA, LuLu Exchange, Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities, Shams Power Company, ENPPI, Technip Energies, Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara, G42, Teleperformance, and Rheinmetall.

Together, these organisations offered more than 150 job opportunities across diverse sectors, including government services, finance, energy, emerging technologies, and more.

The initiative reflects Mawaheb’s ongoing commitment to empowering Emirati talent and facilitating access to employment opportunities across Abu Dhabi’s regions. By connecting jobseekers directly with employers, the open day contributes to creating a dynamic, inclusive, and efficient labour market, while supporting balanced economic development in Al Dhafra.

His Excellency Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri, the Undersecretary of the Ruler’s Representative Court in Al Dhafra Region said: “The open day in Al Dhafra reflects the leadership’s vision to empower national talent and enable their active participation in Abu Dhabi’s ongoing development journey. This initiative highlights the importance of collaboration between government entities and private sector partners to create meaningful opportunities that support balanced, inclusive growth across the emirate and allow Al Dhafra’s citizens to build promising careers in their homeland.”

Mawaheb emphasised that such open days play a vital role in enabling national talent by fostering direct engagement between employers and jobseekers, accelerating the hiring process, and supporting candidates through professional development and smart job-matching tools as well as personal interviews.

As a key initiative under the Department of Government Enablement, Mawaheb Talent Hub continues to play its role as a key enabler of national talent in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, building on the success of previous initiatives and programmes aimed at providing job opportunities for Emiratis in Abu Dhabi Emirate. This step reflects the great attention given to the people of Al Dhafra, and the commitment to empowering national talent in all Abu Dhabi regions. These efforts aim to enhance their readiness for both current and future labour market needs, in line with the leadership’s vision of placing citizens at the heart of development and as the foundation of sustainability.
