With support of the wise leadership, and with follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region, the Ruler’s Representative Court in Al Dhafra Region and Mawaheb Talent Hub connected Emirati job seekers with more than 250 specialised career openings directly within their communities in Al Dhafra Region.
As part of Abu Dhabi’s continued drive to empower Emirati professionals, the recent Open Recruitment Day brought together more than 25 premier employers and received more than 600 visitors at Majlis Madinat Zayed under the Connecting You With Opportunities initiative.
Participating entities from across the government, semi-government and private sectors included the Ministry of Education, Abu Dhabi Police, the Department of Municipalities and Transport, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, AD Ports Group, and ADNOC.
His Excellency Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri, Undersecretary of the Ruler's Representative Court in Al Dhafra Region, said: "Organising this Open Recruitment Day in Madinat Zayed reflects the leadership's commitment to ensuring that opportunity reaches every citizen in the simplest and most accessible way, guided by a clear goal of providing employment opportunities that sustain excellence and competitiveness. This is a shared belief by government entities and employers alike that Emirati talent is fully capable of making a difference and delivering real impact across every sector.
"Al Dhafra is a region of ambition, and its people embody the values of determination and resilience that have always defined the people of this nation, alongside the capabilities and competencies that can meaningfully contribute to strengthening the emirate's competitiveness across all fields."
His Excellency Ibrahim Nassir, Undersecretary of DGE, said: "Building the world’s first AI-native government requires exceptional Emirati talent from across the emirate, bridging both the public and private sectors. The Connecting You With Opportunities initiative ensures geography is never a barrier to achieving this ambition. By taking premier careers directly to Al Dhafra, we identify and support the emirate’s workforce to drive the Abu Dhabi Government Digital Strategy and shape the future of our economy."
Moving away from centralised hiring, the initiative is founded on the principle that Emirati potential should never be limited by geography. Using recruitment events, the Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi (DGE), through its Mawaheb Talent Hub, brings leading career opportunities to communities across Abu Dhabi City, Al Ain and Al Dhafra. By unlocking local potential, this emirate-wide drive accelerates Abu Dhabi’s mission to become the world’s first AI-native government – a transformation that spans every sector of the economy.
This latest Open Recruitment Day exemplifies Mawaheb's continued employment impact across Abu Dhabi. Since its establishment in 2023, Mawaheb has trained more than 10,000 Emiratis. It provided over 6,000 job opportunities in 2025 through a network of more than 90 strategic partners across the government, semi-government and private sectors.
Through its centres in Abu Dhabi City, Al Ain and Al Dhafra, Mawaheb continues to connect job seekers across the emirate with meaningful employment opportunities while helping prepare national talent for the evolving demands of the labour market.
