His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Office, has visited the Emirates Skills National Competition 2022. During the visit, His Highness met with outstanding Emirati students practising technical and vocational skills.
Held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, the Emirates Skills National Competition is organised by the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET).
Taking place at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) until 9 March, the annual event celebrates Emirati talent working in technical and vocational skills and aims to inspire the young generation to engage with new trades and embrace technology-based career pathways.
Participants in the 2022 event can compete in six skills areas: construction and building technology; manufacturing and engineering technology; transportation and logistics; creative arts and fashion; information and communication technology; and social and personal services.
