Yusuff Ali M.A., Chairman of Lulu Group International, has contributed AED150 million in support of the Mother of the Nation Endowment for Orphans initiative, launched by Awqaf Abu Dhabi under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.

The Mother of the Nation Endowment for Orphans initiative aims to create a sustainable endowment (waqf) fund to ensure a stable and dignified life for orphans in the UAE and strengthen social cohesion and resilience. The contribution from Yusuff Ali M.A. highlights his deep commitment to social responsibility and the core values of giving and solidarity embedded within Emirati culture. It also reflects the strong community-wide support for the campaign, in line with the UAE Year of the Family and reinforces the unity of UAE society in supporting its most vulnerable members.

Launched on 18 February 2026, the Mother of the Nation Endowment for Orphans initiative reflects the UAE’s longstanding belief in supporting orphans through an integrated network of families and institutions. The initiative seeks to revive and strengthen endowment (waqf) as a tool for social development and sustainability, encouraging broad community participation and supporting a balanced, cohesive society.
