Saeed Eid Al Ghafli has contributed AED 3 million in support of the Mother of the Nation Endowment for Orphans initiative, launched by the Endowments and Minors’ Funds Authority – Awqaf Abu Dhabi under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, in line with the Year of Family.
The initiative aims to establish a sustainable endowment funding source dedicated to orphan care, ensuring a more stable future and improved quality of life for beneficiaries, while contributing to a healthy and balanced society.
The contribution reflects the deeply rooted spirit of solidarity within UAE society and demonstrates the strong cohesion among its members in supporting the most vulnerable groups. It also reinforces the importance of endowment (waqf) as a sustainable development tool that empowers orphans and strengthens their social integration, in alignment with the UAE’s vision of reinforcing family stability and investing in people as the foundation of comprehensive development.
The Mother of the Nation Endowment for Orphans initiative seeks to transform community contributions into long-term endowment returns, invested through an approved governance framework to ensure sustained support for orphans across education, healthcare, dignified living and other essential care needs.
His Excellency Fahad Abdulqader Al Qassim, Director General of the Endowments and Minors’ Funds Authority – Awqaf Abu Dhabi, said: “This contribution reflects the deeply rooted spirit of social responsibility in the UAE and affirms that endowment represents a sustainable model that maximises the impact of giving and ensures its continuity across generations. Every contribution, regardless of its size, plays a role in building a comprehensive humanitarian framework that provides orphans with stability, empowerment and opportunities for the future.”
