The Office of Martyrs' Families' Affairs has concluded Al Fakhr Winter Camp 2025 in Remah, Al Ain Region, which brought together the sons of UAE martyrs for a five-day programme held from 8-12 December 2025. The camp aimed to instil national values and strengthen Emirati identity through an integrated schedule of educational, cultural, and heritage-focused activities.

The 2025 edition of the camp brought together 63 campers aged 12-16, offering a programme that fostered character development and instilled responsibility and a sense of belonging. Activities included sessions on etiquette and Emirati customs, falconry and desert skills, alongside heritage competitions, religious lectures, football matches, educational workshops on environmental preservation and the importance of the houbara, and a virtual-reality falconry experience. 

His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, also visited the camp and emphasised the camp’s roles in reflecting the leadership’s commitment to empowering and nurturing the youth as key contributors to national development.

Throughout the camp, His Excellency Abdulla Ghurair Al Qubaisi, Director of the Fallen Heroes’ Affairs Office, attended alongside several guests from participating entities. The attendees included His Excellency Dr Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development; His Excellency Dr Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman  of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs Endowments and Zakat; His Excellency Dr Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity for the UAE Government; His Excellency Dr Mubarak Saeed Al Shamsi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ACTVET); and His Excellency Khalaf Hilal Al Mazrouei, Director General of Institutional Empowerment and Community Services at the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi. The guests contributed to several programmes provided by their respective entities during the camp. 

The camp was organised in collaboration with several governmental entities, including Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi; Emirates Falconers Club, Mohammed Bin Zayed Falconry and Desert Physiognomy School, General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat; Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority; Abu Dhabi Sports Council; and International Fund for Houbara Conservation, the Programme of Hunting and Private Reserves at Presidential Court, UAE Cyber Security Council, Abu Dhabi Public Health Center, and Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training. 

The Al Fakhr Winter Camp serves as a key platform to support and empower the martyr’s sons by offering programmes that develop their skills and strengthen their connection to national values, within an interactive, educational environment that ensures a rich, inspiring experience. 

The initiative builds on seven successful editions held between 2017 and 2024, as the camp continues to advance its mission to support the martyr’s sons through impactful learning experiences that foster personal growth, strengthen community values, and reflect the UAE’s enduring gratitude for the sacrifices of its sons and righteous martyrs.
