Al Dhafra Youth Council, in collaboration with AD Ports Group Youth Council and powered by Stratecis, has concluded a four-day youth innovation bootcamp titled AlDhafra Innovates at Madinat Zayed Majilis, part of Majalis Abu Dhabi at the Citizens and Community Affairs Office of the Presidential Court.
With the participation of 25 shortlisted youth, the bootcamp brought together Emirati youth aged 18–35 from the Al Dhafra Region to work in teams and apply design thinking and AI tools to develop solutions addressing real and diverse community challenges.
The event featured intensive training in leadership, teamwork, innovation, and entrepreneurial thinking. Participants engaged in hands-on activities across four stages: empathising with local issues, ideating AI-powered solutions, prototyping concepts, and pitching their ideas to a panel of experts.
The bootcamp highlighted the importance of empowering youth to become active contributors to their communities by transforming their creativity and passion into impactful solutions. It also emphasised the role of strategic partnerships in fostering innovation and youth development.
Participants identified several outcomes, including the value of collaborative problem-solving, the potential of AI in community-driven innovation, and the importance of mentorship in guiding youth-led initiatives.
The event concluded with special thanks from Al Dhafra Youth Council to all partners, mentors, and participants for their active role in the success of the bootcamp, reaffirming the Council’s commitment to organising similar initiatives that enhance youth engagement and innovation across the region. This momentum is further strengthened by the strategic partnership between AD Ports Group and Al Dhafra, formalised through the recently signed MoU, which underscores a shared commitment to empowering youth and driving sustainable development in the region.
