Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD), the Al Dhafra Grand Kingfish Championship will take in Abu Dhabi from 22-24 April 2023 at Al Mughira Beach.
The championship will feature 779 participants competing for 20 awards, split equally between men and women, with a total of AED920,000 in prize money. The event aims to promote fishing as a traditional sport while preserving the UAE’s cultural heritage.
