Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region, the 7th Historic Dalma 60ft dhow race will take place on 24 May 2024 at Dalma Island, Al Dhafra Region.
Organised by Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority and Abu Dhabi Sailing Club, the race will promote maritime heritage and UAE National identity and traditions. The 7th Historic Dalma 60ft dhow race is the longest race in the UAE in terms of distance, stretching a total of 68 nautical miles (125km), starting from Dalma Island to Al Mugheirah Corniche beach, passing through numerous islands.
