Observed annually, the International Day for Monuments and Sites promotes awareness of cultural heritage, its diversity and vulnerability, and the importance of its protection. This year’s edition, held under the theme Living Heritage and Emergency Response, highlights efforts to conserve and protect tangible, intangible and natural heritage increasingly at risk from disasters and conflicts.
