His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs, has attended the signing of an agreement between the Emirates Council for Balanced Development and the Higher Organising Committee of Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026 to encourage active lifestyles in Emirates Villages, in line with national priorities for health and quality of life.

The strategic partnership promotes a sports culture and healthy lifestyles, encouraging active lifestyles in Emirates Villages and lifelong participation in sport. It will also establish a measurable, community-driven physical activity ecosystem over the next five years and deliver community programmes that promote physical health and provide sports equipment and facilities.

Signed during the Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026, the agreement aims to translate the event’s momentum into tangible, long-term impact, supporting national health and quality-of-life priorities, encouraging healthier, more active communities.
