Under the patronage of His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, in cooperation with the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), the UAE Accountability Authority (UAEAA), and strategic partners, will host the INTERPOL Anti-Corruption and Asset Recovery Global Conference from 11-13 November 2025 in the emirate.

The event brings together representatives from over 90 countries, alongside several international organisations, with the participation of more than 200 global experts and officials.

His Excellency Major General Ahmed Saif bin Zaitoon Al Muhairi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, underlined that hosting this event reflects the UAE’s leading role in supporting global efforts to combat corruption and safeguard public funds. He noted that the conference embodies the wise leadership’s vision to strengthen international cooperation and share best practices in tackling complex financial crimes.

His Excellency added that as a host of this global event, Abu Dhabi reaffirms the international community's confidence in the efficiency and high organisational capabilities of the UAE’s security and oversight institutions. He emphasised that the conference serves as a global platform for unifying efforts and strengthening partnerships between countries and international organisations in the fight against corruption and the recovery of illicit assets.

His Excellency further underlined that Abu Dhabi Police continues its pioneering role in supporting international initiatives aimed at promoting transparency, integrity, and enhancing the UAE’s position as a global hub for dialogue and cooperation in security matters.

Brigadier Dr Rashid Mohammed Bourshid, Director of the Saif Bin Zayed Academy for Policing and Security Sciences and Head of the Conference Organising Team, revealed that more than 40 international speakers representing diverse regions and organisations will address the gathering.

He indicated that the conference comprises three main components that form the core pillars of this event. First, the Anti-Corruption and Asset Recovery Global Conference, which focuses on discussing major corruption-related crimes, challenges facing nations, ways to enhance cooperation between national and international entities, and the role of each party in combating corruption. The sessions will also review INTERPOL's role in asset recovery, approved mechanisms, and best practices, including the Silver Notice for best practices.

The event also includes the INTERPOL Match-Fixing Task Force (IMFTF) Meeting, which brings together more than 120 countries and aims to discuss best practices and partnerships with the private sector and strategic partners to promote integrity in sport, combat illegal betting, and address match manipulation in sporting competitions at all levels.

The Regional Workshop on Integrity in Sport for Developing Countries will focus on exchanging best practices in combating sport manipulation, enhancing integrity in sporting competitions, and strengthening cooperation between national Olympic committees and law enforcement agencies to conduct criminal investigations related to this type of crime.
