As part of its ongoing efforts to empower Emirati youth and open sustainable career pathways in key economic sectors, Abu Dhabi Youth Council organised the graduation ceremony of participants in the Tharwa Real Estate programme, through which 50 Emirati real estate brokers were successfully trained and graduated. The programme enabled participants to obtain an official real estate broker license, qualifying them to practice professionally and legally in the real estate market.
The graduation ceremony was held in the presence of His Excellency Khaled Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Federal Youth Authority, and His Excellency Dr Saif Al Nasseri, Acting Undersecretary of the Department of Municipalities and Transport, along with a number of officials, partners, and representatives from the real estate sector. Their attendance underscored the importance of the programme and its role in supporting and empowering national youth talent.
The Tharwa Real Estate programme is one of the flagship empowerment initiatives launched by the Abu Dhabi Youth Council, in collaboration with strategic partners. It aims to prepare a new generation of Emirati real estate brokers capable of entering the market with confidence and competence, by combining specialised training with direct, hands-on practical application, in line with market needs and best professional practices.
The programme agenda included a comprehensive set of integrated components, such as specialised training sessions in real estate brokerage, practical workshops covering regulatory and legislative frameworks, in addition to targeted field visits designed to bridge theory with real-world practice. Participants visited the Real Estate Exhibition, as well as several major real estate destinations and projects across Abu Dhabi, including Reem Island, Hudayriyat Island, and Fahd Island. These visits provided participants with first-hand exposure to market realities, development processes, marketing and sales mechanisms, and a practical understanding of project dynamics and sector requirements.
These field visits played a key role in enhancing participants’ professional readiness, offering them a realistic, immersive experience that introduced them to investment opportunities, large-scale project operations, and direct engagement with the real estate ecosystem. This reflected on their preparedness to perform their roles as licensed real estate brokers upon graduation.
The Abu Dhabi Youth Council emphasised that the Tharwa Real Estate programme forms part of a broader portfolio of initiatives aimed at supporting youth financial independence and increasing their active participation in high-growth economic sectors. The council highlighted that the programme focuses on delivering a clear and tangible outcome—graduating licensed, market-ready real estate brokers—rather than limiting its impact to theoretical training alone.
The graduation ceremony concluded with the honouring of graduates in recognition of their commitment and efforts throughout the programme, as well as the appreciation of partners and supporters, reaffirming the importance of collaboration among various entities in empowering youth and building qualified national talents that contribute to sustainable economic development in Abu Dhabi.
