The Fallen Heroes’ Affairs Office will organise the Wahat Al Karama ceremony in Abu Dhabi every Saturday at 5pm, starting 4 April 2026, as part of its ongoing efforts to reinforce national values of pride, loyalty, and belonging within the community.
The ceremony will feature a flag salute, musical band, and cavalry parade, combining national symbolism and heritage. It reflects the authenticity of Emirati traditions and highlights Wahat Al Karama’s status as a national memorial honouring the sacrifices of the nation’s heroes.
Supporting the aspirations of the UAE Year of Family, the ceremony welcomes community members and families to visit Wahat Al Karama and take part in a national experience that strengthens social cohesion and reinforces shared values.
The flag salute represents sovereignty and national unity, reinforcing feelings of pride and belonging, while the military band reflects the dignity of the state and ceremonial nature of official occasions. The cavalry parade highlights the nation’s authentic cultural heritage and connects the present with the UAE’s historical roots.
The ceremony also reinforces Wahat Al Karama’s position as a prominent destination within Abu Dhabi’s cultural and tourism landscape, offering visitors the opportunity to explore the Visitors Centre and learn about inspiring national stories.
Through this initiative, the Fallen Heroes’ Affairs Office seeks to offer a weekly experience that combines national symbolism and heritage, reinforcing national identity and further strengthening active community participation.
