Zayed National Museum, the national museum of the UAE, is hosting the third edition of its travelling exhibition, this time in collaboration with Fujairah Museum, in the emirate of Fujairah, titled Introducing Zayed National Museum: Rooted in Faith. Running until 18 December 2025, this edition highlights the values of Islamic faith within Emirati culture and traditions.

The Fujairah travelling exhibition offers a preview of Zayed National Museum, set to open on 3 December this year, which will celebrate the deep history of the land, rooted in the values of the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The exhibition explores the continuous values of the Islamic faith within Emirati culture and traditions. The universal message of Islam spread from the Arabian Peninsula westwards and eastwards, reaching as far as China. The exhibition also celebrates the UAE’s visionary leaders, particularly Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, whose leadership embodied Islamic principles and exemplified unity and generosity in nation-building.

Visitors will view artefacts from the soon-to-open Zayed National Museum and Fujairah Museum, including: a Ming dynasty incense canister with al-Shahada inscription dating back to the 16th century and an assortment of Celadon pottery shards excavated in Bidya from Fujairah Museum collection, evidence of centuries of cultural exchange in the region, a model of the Bidya Mosque that reflects the architectural features of one of the country’s oldest places of worship, model of Zayed National Museum which showcases the landmark’s architecture, an installation of a ghaf tree surrounded by the seat of learning which invites visitors to learn stories about Sheikh Zayed’s early years in Al Ain Region and interactive screen displaying a Late Mamluk Qur’an from the 16th century which reveals the intricate details of qur’anic texts and annotations

This exhibition is the third in a series of travelling exhibitions, following the previous editions held at Etihad Museum in Dubai and Ajman Museum in Ajman. This exhibition offers residents and visitors in Fujairah and throughout the UAE the chance to engage with the stories and artefacts that will soon be at the heart of the country’s national museum.
