What is Alhosn app?
Alhosn app is the UAE’s official app related to Covid-19, Alhosn uses artificial intelligence to enable users to have quick and secure access to their test results and vaccination status, from anywhere and at anytime.

How do I register on Alhosn app?
To access Alhosn app’s services, download the app from the Apple Store, Google Play, Galaxy Store or Huawei AppGallery. Downloading and using Alhosn app is free and does not count towards your data quota.

To register, enter your Emirates ID and the phone number linked to it. If you are not a UAE citizen or resident, you can use the Unified Identification Number (UID), which you can receive at a UAE international airport upon arrival or via the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) website (ica.gov.ae) or ICA app. You will then receive a one-time password (OTP) sent to your registered phone number. Enter it to complete your registration.

What can I use Alhosn app for?
Once registered on Alhosn, your account is automatically linked to any testing or vaccination facility across the UAE. So you can see your results as soon as they are ready, share your test report or vaccination certificate and use the live QR code.

You can also add family members such as parents and children, so you have access to all the family’s information in one place.

Importantly, Alhosn also shows your status: green, grey or red. In Abu Dhabi emirate, you must have green status (Green Pass) on Alhosn app to enter some public places. More information about Green Pass is available at the Green Pass tab of this website.

Green Status:
Is applied if:

  • It is obtained for fully vaccinated and have a negative PCR test result from the past 14 days.
  • To be considered fully vaccinated, you must have had the second dose of a vaccine. Those who allow more than six months to pass without receiving their booster dose will lose green pass status on Alhosn app. To maintain green status, you also need to have a negative PCR test result at least every 14 days.
  • It is obtained for those who have an official exemption from vaccination, and have a negative PCR test result from the past 7 days.
  • For children under 16 years old automatically have green status. Personnel at the entrance to public places where green pass is needed can request proof of age if they are unsure the child is under 16 years old.

Grey Status:
Is applied if:

  • You are unvaccinated.
  • You have not had a booster dose six months after your second dose of Sinopharm.
  • You are fully vaccinated or officially exempted but the PCR test validity has expired.
  • You are unvaccinated and in quarantine after travelling abroad
  • You are registered in the home quarantine programme after coming into contact with a positive case.

Red Status:
Indicates you have tested positive.

How can I use Al Hosn app to enter public places in Abu Dhabi?
The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee has approved the entry process for public places limited to vaccinated citizens, residents and tourists. The process will be implemented effective from Friday, 20 August 2021.

The approved process allows entry for those vaccinated with green status on Alhosn app, which appears after a negative PCR test result and remains for 14 days. Entry is also allowed for those exempted from vaccination with green status on Alhosn app, which appears after a negative PCR test result and remains for seven days. Children under 16 years, whose status will appear as green on Alhosn app without the requirement of a test, will also be allowed entry.

Unvaccinated individuals and those with grey status on Alhosn app, which reflects an expired PCR test, are prohibited from entering these public places.

Can unvaccinated enter public places in Abu Dhabi?
If you have an official exemption from vaccination, and have a negative PCR test result from the past 7 days, you can enter the public places

if you are unvaccinated can enter to events, tourist attractions and cultural sites in Abu Dhabi with a negative PCR test received within 48 hours, effective Thursday 17 March 2022.

My vaccination data is not showing in the app
Contact the health centre where you received the vaccine and request that they update the information.

My profile picture has disappeared or is not showing in the app
Contact the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA).

My vaccination dose dates are incorrect in the app
Contact the health centre where you received the vaccine and request that they update the information.

My PCR test result is not yet showing in the app
Contact the health centre where you took the Covid test and request that they update the result.

I can’t add my children or other family members to my Alhosn profile
Ensure that all children are registered with the same phone number provided in the Alhosn app.

My status is red even though I have had two negative PCR tests
The updated version of Alhosn app requires 24 hours between two consecutive negative PCR tests in order to show green status.

My user data is not recognised when I enter it into the app
Contact the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA).

My exemption status is not showing
Contact the health authority where you submitted your exemption request.
